Beginning in the village of Ephraim, moving to Kiriat Yearim and concluding at the Sea of Galilee, this 12-day retreat repeats St Anselm's invitation "Come, insignificant man, fly for a moment from your affairs, escape the tumult of your thoughts… abandon yourself to God and rest a little in him” and perhaps give answer to Jesus, "What did you go out into the desert to see?" Matt 11:7.
Itinerary
Days 1 -4
Fly from Heathrow to Tel Aviv and drive to Ephraim in the Judaean hills of Palestine.
Reflective visits to Bethlehem, Jerusalem and a guided walk in the silence of the desert.
Day 4
Drive to the holy mountain of Kiriat-Yearim west of Jerusalem
Day 5 - 9
Core retreat
Day 9 - 12
Drive to stay at the Sea of Galilee
Day 12
Return flight from Tel Aviv to London
